What stood out most was when your husband/facilitator asked us to remember the first time we felt guilt or shame. For me, I had to go way back—likely to infancy, probably no more than six months old. I remembered wanting more milk from my mother’s breast, but being pulled away. Somehow, I felt both guilty for wanting more and ashamed that I couldn’t receive it.
In the meditation, that memory hit me hard, and I cried big, droplet tears. Then came a realization—from spirit and from my mother—that she simply had no more milk to give me. In that moment, her own shame and guilt were imprinted on me. We carried that together.
There’s no way I could have made this up from my imagination. It felt far too vivid and undeniable, as real as me speaking these words now. I know in my heart and spirit that this moment was true.
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to see it, feel it, understand it, and transform it—to heal it. The lump in my throat is gone now. I look forward to noticing how I speak my desires, what I ask for, and what I allow myself to receive, and the many experiences that will nourish me and bring me life. Thanks, Mina.
